Prepared leaves from the Taliput palm were incised by a scribe with a sharp stylus. The leaves were strung together with thongs which held them securely between wooden covers. A. Manuscript from Ceylon, probably 18th Century. One leaf with two holes. B. Manuscript from Burma, probably 19th Century. Two leaves with one hole.
