Scrapbook of letters, newspaper articles, and other materials concerning William M. French, who was an Indiana representative of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) in the later 1800s.) It has content ranging from his time in the military to his involvement in the IOOF to his engagement in politics. It is unclear if French or another family member kept this scrapbook or if it was created by someone interested in William M. French. The scrapbook appears to have originally been a journal or diary, with most entries pasted over with articles and correspondence. The following is written in ink in the back of the scrapbook: “Will Y. Sullivan, January 1859”, “E.E. [R/K]”, and “Thomas M. Cook, Indianapolis, Ind.”
