This collection consists of notes taken by Allegra Stewart for her teaching and research, including her thesis and other publications. Subjects include Gertrude Stein, Meredith Nicholson, John Milton, William Shakespeare, Geoffrey Chaucer, American literature, British literature, 20th century fiction, philosophy, poetry and much more. It also includes correspondence, travel and personal journals, manuscript drafts, photographs, oral history interview transcripts, and other materials related to Allegra Stewart’s personal and professional life.
