Historical Note

In 1972, Butler University Librarian Richard A. Davis and George McCullough of Fort Wayne were granted permission by the Field Museum of Chicago to print six sets of the ten copperplate engravings held in their rare book collection. The prints were made in the graphic studio at Albion College in Albion, Michigan. For more information, see Field Museum of Natural History Bulletin, Vol. 44, Number 2, Feb. 1972.
