3 Linear Feet : The Bundu mask came from the Mende people of Sierra Leone. These masks were made, by men, for women within the Sande society. Bundu masks were used in initiation ceremonies to celebrate the transition of young girls to matured women. Bundu masks were symbolic of idealistic feminine appearances but all had unique creativity specific to the creator. ; 41x21x70cm
