The collection contains handbooks pertaining to the Indianapolis Literary Club from 1963 to 1994. The handbooks include current members, past members, a schedule of essays to be presented at the weekly meetings, and past leadership. There are also guest sign in sheets from 1981 to 1986.

The collection also includes three books compiled by a former secretary to the club, with a history of meetings and the essays discussed at each. They also outline past membership, much like the handbooks. Two books cover the club’s history from its founding in 1877 until 1934, and a more recent book covers 1877 until 1976.
