This collection is largely composed of summaries and class preparation materials from Charles H. Walters dealing with speech and debate. Dr. Walters was a professor of speech at Butler University. Most of the materials are typed up summations of texts by writers such as John Dewey, John Rush, Roy C. Scafe, and others and delve into philosophies of rhetoric, argumentation, and the art of public speaking. The collection also includes a 1938 book by Charles H. Walters and L. Gray Burdin entitled “Communicative Speech, volume 1.”
