Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma Scrapbook, 1994-1995
Scope and Contents
This collection contains different materials relating to Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma; two band fraternity/sorority at Butler University. These materials include ten different scrapbooks ranging from the years 1977-2000. These scrapbooks share photographs of members of these organizations who were usually very heavily involved in the Butler University Marching Band (BUMB). Across all the scrapbooks there were usually photographs relating to a softball game, pledging, the band banquet, dances, and various other group activities. This seems to just be a fun memento rather than a scrapbook that shares what these organizations were about. There were some items that indicated what these organizations did such as an additional binder that is dedicated to mixed articles about Kappa Kappa Psi (KKΨ) and Tau Beta Sigma (TBS) from the Butler Collegian, News Notice, and the Alumni Press. There are additional newspaper clippings within the scrapbooks and a folder that contained more New Notices and Butler Collegians. In addition, there were several folders dedicated to KKΨ’s chapter meeting minutes, both handwritten and typed. Finally, there is a single folder that contains the KKΨ Chapter Initiate Roster with the name, date, hometown, and instrument of members of KKΨ from 1929-1983.
