Scope and Contents
This collection consists of the football sweater of Butler University student athlete C.C. “Corky” Bauermeister, who played on the Butler University football team in the late 1920s and early 1930s, graduating in 1931. It is a beige cardigan with a blue letter “B” sewn on the front.

Biographical Note
BIOGRAPHICAL Note C.C. “Corky” Bauermeister (1907-1978) was a Butler University student athlete, playing on the Butler football team during the late 1920s and early 1930s. He was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, graduated from Butler in 1931, and worked for 30 years as a lubrication engineer at the International Harvester Company.
