Scope and Contents

This collection consists of two scrapbooks detailing the experiences of Anne Fleming and William Miner during their time as Butler University students. Anne was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and William (Bill) belonged to the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. The scrapbooks document their experiences on campus as well as off-campus with friends and family and include campus dances, sorority and fraternity events, academic achievements, and the engagements and weddings of friends, as well as Anne and Bill’s own wedding and first anniversary. One scrapbook is entitled “’53 Butler ‘57” and the other scrapbook is untitled; they contain photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, academic notices, wedding invitations, ephemera, and sketches.

Karen Miner donated this collection to Butler University Libraries in honor of her parents-in-law in 2022 (Accession Number 2023.001)

Separated Materials

Anne & Bill Miner’s daughter-in-law, Karen Miner, also donated their 1956 and 1957 Drift yearbooks. These were separated and placed with the Drift collection in Special Collections, Rare Books, and University Archives.
