Historical Notes

The Starlight Musicals were an Indianapolis series for almost 50 years that allowed citizens to be entertained during the summer. In 1944, it was here at Hilton U. Brown Theater that people would come to watch musicals and concerts under the stars at night, hence the name Starlight Musicals. It would gain popularity as time went on, but soon travelling shows gained popularity, forcing Starlight Musicals out in 1993.
