Beldon Leonard Collection
This collection is made up of reproductions of original musical works, many unpublished, by Butler University music professor Beldon Leonard. Leonard, who passed away in 1985, also conducted the Jordan Symphony Orchestra at Butler. The collection includes original works for full and string orchestras, transcriptions and arrangements for string orchestra, originals and arrangements for string quartet, and works for violin and piano and piano solo.

This collection contains four large scrapbooks with content collected by Butler student Eleanor Vivien Holt Lockwood. Two of the scrapbooks represent campus life in the 1930s and two scrapbooks cover Ms. Lockwood’s life after Butler, including her attendance at Starlight Musicals and Butler football games.
