J.H.O. Smith papers, 1927 - 1966
This collection consists of newspaper clippings about Butler graduate Dr. John Henry Oliver Smith, also known as J. H. O. Smith. The newspaper clippings tell the story of his life a preacher and evangelist in Indiana, as well as his impact on religion in the state. The collection also contains some articles and a post card from the First Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Files documenting the Black family and their connection to Butler University. Files include two letters written to B. A. Black by his mother in 1930.
