This collection consists of newspaper clippings about Butler graduate Dr. John Henry Oliver Smith, also known as J. H. O. Smith. The newspaper clippings tell the story of his life a preacher and evangelist in Indiana, as well as his impact on religion in the state. The collection also contains some articles and a post card from the First Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Papers from the original production in 1948 of “Butler’s First Musical”, Queen of My Dreams. Files contain a photocopy program, annotated final script, and a photocopy of what is believed to be the initial rough draft of the musical, heavily edited.

It also contains photocopies of a book kept by Warren Black; a scrapbook mostly containing newspaper clippings from the mid 1920s regarding then Butler University football player Art Black; various Black family items related to World War II; photocopies of degrees from Butler University; and photographs of various family members.
