"White Petals," by Lucile C. Marshall, circa 1910
Manuscript entitled “White Petals,” a fictional account of life at Butler College at the beginning of the 1900s. Butler is known as “Christan College” in the manuscript and faculty members are described as the author knew them at Butler. The student characters are all fictitious. An Author’s Note is found at the back of the manuscript. The author, Lucile C. Marshall, graduated from Butler in 1906.

William R. Mathews autobiography, 1893 - 1950
Autobiography of William R. Matthews, documenting his life as a soldier in World War I as well as his career as the editor and publisher of The Arizona Daily Star, which included traveling to Germany right before the start of World War II.
The autobiography is typed and roughly 250 pages. It appears to be an unfinished work; it is undated but tells the story of Matthews’ life from 1893 until 1950.
