This collection contains the letters of Charles William Walters during his time in World War II. Most letters are addressed to his mother. The letters are written over his five-year stint in the military. This collection contains four large scrapbooks with content collected by Butler student Eleanor Vivien Holt Lockwood. Scope and Contents

Ten small drawings by Butler University student Mary Ann Malott. The drawings are of the insignias of Butler honorary societies, including Chimes, Who’s Who, Theta Sigma Phi, Scarlet Quill, Philokurian, Phi Chi Nu, Alfred Marshall, Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Kappa Phi, and Spurs. There is writing on the back of each drawing explaining the meaning and brief detail about the societies.
