Allegra Stewart Collection
Booth Tarkington Collection
This collection consists of letters, photographs and other materials related to the life of Booth Tarkington. The bulk of the collection is letters written by Booth Tarkington to his nephew and sister. It also contains magazine articles written by Booth Tarkington.
Chris Theofanis Papers
This collection consists of the professional papers of Chris Theofanis, who worked for Butler University in public and community relations, eventually becoming the Director of Government and Community Relations from 1991 until his death in 1999. It includes correspondence, meeting agendas, government publications, Butler-Tarkington Neighborhood Association documents, and other materials related to his work at Butler University.
George Cullen Thomas Papers
This collection contains photocopies of two scrapbooks belonging to George Cullen “Cully” Thomas, documenting his athletic career at Butler University, where he played football, basketball, tennis, track, and baseball. The focus of the scrapbooks is football.
Emma Lou Thornbrough Collection
This collection contains the personal and professional papers of Butler history professor, Dr. Emma Lou Thornbrough. The collection includes correspondence, awards and plaques, writings, course materials, and research files. Included in the collection is a manuscript for an unpublished work, "The Indianapolis Story: School Segregation and Desegregation in a Northern City." Additionally all research materials and notes for this work were retained.
George M. and Martha S. Waller Collection
The bulk of this collection is made up of George Waller’s drafts of his history of Butler University and campus life, which eventually was published as Butler University: A Sesquicentennial History. It also contains photographs of the Butler campus and scholastic and other materials by Martha S. Waller. Both George and Martha Waller were Butler University professors.
Charles H. Walters Papers
This collection consists of summaries and class preparation materials from Charles H. Walters, mainly pertaining to speech and debate. Dr. Walters was a professor of speech at Butler University.
Rex N. Webster Collection
This collection contains personal, family, and professional correspondence and additional materials created by or pertaining to Rex N. Webster, a 1933 Butler University graduate who was later a Butler professor of botany.
